After 2 weeks of vacation and generous flow of food in weddings and family functions, finally cooked up a meal for our lunch menu post. Since i didn’t cook for the past 2 weeks i am so enthusiastic to enter into the kitchen. I had some frozen chickpeas and i decided to make sundal using that.

Vendakkai Sambar, Pineapple rasam, lunch menu 14 - 1

This week’s lunch menu has

  • Varagu rice (Kodo millet)
  • Vendakkai sambar (with freshly ground sambar masala)
  • Pineapple rasam
  • Cabbage, carrot, peas poriyal (must try)
  • Chickpeas sundal
  • Store bought mixture- I bought the mixture from Sri krishna sweets, i have posted the recipe of similar madras mixture
