Neer Mor | neer moru| நீர் மோர் in Tamil | Spiced buttermilk, a South Indian summer drink, a recipe with full video. We prepare neer mor recipe, spiced buttermilk, usually during Rama Navami along with Kosumalli and Panagam. My mom makes this almost every day during the summer season. It is a very healthy drink and also a body coolant too.

- Grind ginger, green chili, coriander leaves, and curry leaves into a coarse paste.

- Whisk the yogurt with a hand whisk and add 2 cups of water to this.
- Add the coarsely ground mixture to this and add salt to this.
- Temper with mustard seeds and asafoetida.

- Serve chilled.

- A few mint leaves can be added while grinding to enhance the taste of the neer mor.

Neer mor recipe
Ingredients
- 1 cup Yogurt
- 2 cups water
- Coriander leaves few
- Curry leaves few
- Ginger a small piece
- Salt as needed
- Asafoetida a pinch
- Oil few drops
- ¼ tsp mustard seeds
Instructions
- Grind chili, ginger, coriander leaves, curry leaves coarsely.
- Whisk the yogurt with a hand whisk and add 2 cups of water to this.
- Add the coarsely ground mixture to this and add salt to this.
- Temper with mustard seeds and asafoetida.
- Serve chilled.
