Green peas kheer recipe
Preparation Time : 15 mins | Cooking Time : 25 Mins | Serves: 4
Green peas 1/2 cup Almonds | Badam 15 Milk 4 cups Milk masala 2 pinches Sugar 1/3 cup Ghee 2 tsp Method:
- Blanch the almonds and take out the skin.
- Put the peas in hot water for 5 minutes and drain the water completely.
- If using fresh peas, pressure cook for 1-2 whistles. I used frozen peas.
- Grind the almonds and peas into a fine paste. Do not add water. If needed just sprinkle 1 tsp of water.
- In a pan add ghee and add the ground peas almond paste.
- Saute it for 5 minutes in a low flame.
- Add the milk to this now.
- Let this boil in a medium flame for 20 to 25 minutes till the milk thickens slightly and comes to a kheer consistency. · Switch off the flame. · Add the sugar and mix well. · Add milk masala to this . · Serve chilled.

- You can add few chopped almonds .
- Serve chilled.

- Cashew nuts or pistachios can be used instead of almonds.
- Always add sugar after switching off the flame.
- Condensed milk can be added to enhance the richness of the green peas kheer.
