Dates kheer recipe | dates payasam is a very simple payasam. Easy to make, no sugar added Indian sweet recipe with full video and step by step pictures.
With just milk and dates this payasam can be done in a jiffy. My brother-in-law always brings big boxes of dates for us from Muscat every time. During our India trip, he gave dates for us and I was too tempted to try these dates kheer.
We are not adding sugar or jaggery to this payasam, as dates give the sweetness to the kheer. With just dates and milk we can make this delicious kheer. If you are looking for a sugar-free sweet or dessert recipe then you should try this out. Also, if you want to make it vegan, try replacing milk with Oat milk. I haven’t tried almond milk.
